A view from the hip

I was playing around with photoshop today, i was trying out some sort of transform tool, skew or perspective or maybe distort, and i twisting around a photo of the earth. after i had the earth all distorted the idea of putting it into the meat grinder came to me. then the rest happened with some more steps and ideas. i was going to explain how i made it but i tire from typing. so here it is. there is surely a political statement, if your not quite sure what it is turn off fox sometime.

I found a cross hatch photo with jesus off the web and removed jesus out of it using the lasso tool. i know matt mentioned that he likes using a mask to pull images out of larger images. i’ve been using the lasso tool for years and am good at it, so i’ll just keep on keeping on with the lasso tool. The convoy photo i also got from google images and applied the graphic pen filter to it. I couldnt get the two images to match up excactly, but i think it looks good with jesus kind of standing out from the convoy.

This is a montage I put together of a buddy of mine playing base. I got the background photo off the web. I bet you can’t get which person doesn’t belong.

A photo I found in the New York times. It is outside the supreme court during the oregon assisted suicide case. I added a little to one of the placards.
